Vivitar is a computer technology company that manufactures digital cameras, digital video recorders, dash cams, smart cameras, speakers, headphones and earbuds, webcams, telescopes and microscopes, mobile chargers, tripods, and more.

Vivitar was founded way back in 1938 under the name Ponder and Best. They first imported and sold German photo equipment before including cameras and other related hardware from Japan after the Second World War.

More recently, in 2006, the company was purchased by Syntax-Brillian Corporation. After they filed for bankruptcy, it prompted Syntax-Brillian Corporation to sell off the brand name and intellectual property rights to Sakar International in 2008.

Vivitar's main website is located at http://www.vivitar.com. On it is a listing of retailers that sell Vivitar products.

Vivitar Support

Vivitar Camera Driver Downloads

Vivitar provides technical support for their products through an online support website:

It's through that link that you can get all the other Vivitar resources described below.

Vivitar Driver Download

Vivitar doesn't provide a way to download device drivers for their hardware, so the only way to get drivers directly from Vivitar is to contact them through their support page:

However, while you can do it that way, it's best to first visit the specific product page for the device in question. Use the PRODUCTS menu to find your specific device and then when on that page, choose Contact Support from the right side.

Going this route automatically includes the product name in the email, which will speed things up while talking with their support team.

Getting drivers directly from Vivitar is the best way to go (just as it is with drivers from any manufacturer), but it's understandable in this case to want to try a different method since you have to wait for a response from Vivitar. If you need your device driver right now, you probably don't want to wait for an email response.

Software

Something else you could do is use a free driver updater tool to search your computer for outdated or missing Vivitar drivers and install the ones you need. You don't even need to know the model or product name for these driver tools to work since they scan for any and all missing drivers and provide you with the download immediately.

See this list of several other places to download drivers if the resources above don't help.

Vivitar Product Manuals

Just like with Vivitar driver downloads, there aren't any direct links to product manuals on their website. However, we're sure you can request one by contacting support:

Another method is to look for the manual elsewhere, not even on Vivitar's website. ManualsLib is one place that has hundreds of Vivitar manuals.

Product manuals are usually in the PDF format. Sumatra is one free PDF reader you can download if you're not sure how to open the PDF file.
